Albert PC Aliangan

Albert PC Aliangan passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base.

He was born on July 27, 1933, in Laoag City, Philippines, where he lived until joining the U.S. Navy in 1954. During his 22-year career in the Navy, he was stationed in various states and abroad where he served on the USS PYRO. He met Pat Velasco Aliangan (deceased 2006) in San Francisco and they married in 1963. They had three children whom he adored, Jenny, Sonia and Allen Patrick. In 1976, Albert moved his family to Fairfield, Calif., where he retired from the U.S. Navy as Chief Petty Officer. He continued on to a new career at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville until his retirement in 2003. After retirement, he spent most of his time doing the things he loved to do, especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Romeo Abellana Jr., Sonia and Scott Byers; and his loving son and daughter-in-law, Allen Patrick and Annie Aliangan; and his grandchildren Justine, Adam, Daniel, Emily and Jack. We love you Papa!

The visitation will be at Fairfield Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21. Rosary is at 7 p.m. Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will take place at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery, St. Alphonsus.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, Calif.
