March 29, 1915 — Feb. 6, 2014

Aimee Germaine Muller  Petit, 98, of Fairfield, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1915, Le Havre, France.

Aimee married Bernard Petit on Dec. 13, 1935, and they lived in Auch, France, where on Feb, 26, 1941, their only child, Brigitte, was born. They settled in Evreux, France, where Brigitte would meet and marry Crispin Huliganga, while serving in the United States Air Force. For the next 24 years, Aimee and Bernard would often travel to the United States, visiting Brigitte and her family, and then in 1984 they immigrated to the U.S. to be near her daughter’s family.

After her beloved daughter, Brigitte, passed away in 2007 followed by her husband, Bernard, in 2008, Aimee moved in with her granddaughter, Valerie, who provided her with loving care. Though Aimee spoke little English, she loved watching game shows, working on crossword puzzles and was an avid reader with her cherished cat, Tiger, by her side.

She is survived by son-in-law, Crispin Huliganga of Suisun City; grandchildren, Clark (Karen) Andrew and Valerie Huliganga of Fairfield, and Catherine (Buck) Bozzini of Vacaville; great-grandchildren, Michael (Nadia) Huliganga and Haley Huliganga of Fairfield, Alexis Pickett of Redlands and Alyssa Pickett of Vacaville; Brother, Robert (Elaine) Muller of Bordeaux France; caregiver Rebecca Bozeman of Fairfield; nephew Patrick (Elisabeth) Delerue of Caen, France; niece Chantal (Francois) Levet of Nice, France; and her beloved cat, Tiger.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thurday, Feb. 13, 2014, at  Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W Texas St. Fairfield. 425-4697. A reception will immediately follow at Bryan-Braker’s Garden Court, located directly behind the chapel.

Arrangements under the care of Bryan Braker Funeral Home 1850 W. Texas St. Fairfield, Calif. 94533.
