Young Artists Conservatory of Music offers merit scholarships

VACAVILLE — The Young Artists Conservatory of Music is offering a one-year merit scholarship to candidates ages 8 to 17.

The scholarship will provide 11 months of weekly private and group instruction with the Solano Music Conservatory.

Up to 10 scholarships are available in the following disciplines: violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, flute, piano, voice, guitar, and drum kit.

Scholarship applicants will write one or two essays, depending on age, audition and participate in a short interview. Students currently enrolled, or who have been a student at the conservatory in the past two years, are not eligible.
