VACAVILLE — The veterans putting on the annual free holiday dinner at the Vacaville Veterans Memorial Hall need your help.

Unwrapped gifts are still needed for infants through age 15 as well as stuffed animals and dolls to be given to the children after they visit Santa.

Dinner rolls and desserts that do not need to be baked or cooked are also welcome in addition to monetary donations to fix appliances used for the holiday dinner preparation.

For more information about donations, call 447-6354.

The free community meal will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas Eve at the veteran’s hall, 549 Merchant St. It will include turkey, ham a variety of side dishes and dessert.

Santa will visit about noon. It is open to everyone in the community.
