VACAVILLE — A building that once housed Opportunity House will be the site of a fire training exercise from May 28 to May 30.

The training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 712 Catherine St. will include fires being set and put out in different rooms of the structure using straw and shredded paper on wooden pallets. The house itself will not be burned down, a Vacaville press release said.

Nearby residents will have access to their properties at all times, but should keep their doors and windows closed during training, the press release said.
