VACAVILLE — Jeremy Craig, Vacaville’s director of Finance and Information Technology, added interim assistant city manager to his titles Wednesday.

Craig, who began working in Vacaville in August 2011, will continue to serve as finance and IT director, but will have added responsibilities, including some that involve economic development, according to a press release from the city.

The assistant city manager position has been vacant since September 2011.

Craig, who is a CPA and holds an MBA, was previously the finance director in Dixon, and also worked in the Finance Department in Napa. Craig’s wife, Rebecca, is the assistant city manager in Elk Grove.

Let's see we have an assistant Fire Chief and now an assistant City Manager. Does anyone hear ching, ching to their pockets as their employees continue to take pay decreases and our police department is running on minimals. Does this make any sense to anyone other than those that got there pay increased?
