VACAVILLE — The Vacaville Museum Guild will sponsor an opportunity to be transported to the 1920s in the San Jose area Wednesday, featuring a stop at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, a visit to the Ainsley House and food and shopping at Santana Row.
The bus leaves Alamo Plaza at 8 a.m. and returns around 5 p.m. There is a fee. You can register at the Vacaville Museum, 213 Buck Ave.
The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum holds the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts in North America. The Ainsley House is a 15-room 1925 Tudor Revival home that has been completely restored and filled with much of its original furnishings. Santana Row will be the site of a no-host lunch and shopping between the two excursions.
