VACAVILLE — It’s “country and western” time once again in downtown Vacaville, when the annual festival rides into downtown April 11-12.

The lineup for the Country & Western Festival on Town Square begins with Whiskey and Honey at 6 p.m. April 11.

Entertainment begins at 10 a.m. April 12 with the Beer Brothers, who will share stories and songs. Denis Colleret takes the stage at 11 a.m. with his repertoire of older country hits. Colleret is also the lead guitarist in the James Garner Johnny Cash Tribute Band.

Joni Morris will entertain the crowds at noon with her Patsy Cline music from the 1950s and 1960s.

Rachael Steele and Road 88 will get the audiences’ toes tapping in the afternoon with its Americana/alternative country sound. The band won an award at the Sammies – Sacramento Area Music Awards – for best Americana/Alternative Country Band in 2013.

Nashville recording artist Taryn Cross will perform her mixture of pop and country at 4 p.m. The Terry Sheets Band with its “rockin’ country” will hit the stage at 6 p.m. as the closing act.

The event is still looking for “theme-appropriate” vendors.

The event is hosted by the Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District. For more information, call the district’s office at 451-2100 or go to www.downtownvacaville.com.
