Vacaville City Coach to offer free fare week

VACAVILLE — City Coach Transit of Vacaville is offering a free fare week Aug. 1-6 to celebrate its longer hours and restructured transit routes that will also start Aug. 1, the city announced Monday.

Earlier this year, City Coach announced its changes that included:

– Running buses from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, an hour earlier and later than before.

– Adding service to Solano Community College’s Vacaville campus, Genentech, State Fund, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Pheasant Country Park neighborhood, medical offices on Buck and Alamo drives, and the apartment complexes along Beelard Drive.

– Regular daily 30-minute service to Browns Valley.

– Improved timing of routes to keep pace with traffic conditions.
