Vacaville author will sign copies of new book

VACAVILLE — Thomas Sprain will sign copies of his new book, “Derringer,” 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 18 at Bounty Books, 857 Merchant St.

The story centers on a woman who is jailed for killing a young cowboy. During her fight for freedom, she learns the she may have to bring civilization back to the town.
