Vacaville announces street closures for Independence Day celebration

VACAVILLE — With the July Fourth holiday looming, Vacaville announced a number of impending street and parking lot closures for the city’s annual celebration.

The city’s celebration will be held at the Creekwalk/Andrews Park.

Park gates open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6:30 p.m.

Food and craft vendors will be on site as well, with the city’s fireworks display beginning around 9:20 p.m.

A number of closures begin at 5 p.m.

Parking only for people with ADA placards will be available at the McBride Senior Center.

Streets closed will include:

  • East Monte Vista Avenue at Dobbins Street.
  • East Monte Vista Avenue at Depot Street/Markham Avenue intersection.
  • Bush Street at McClellan.
  • McClellan Street at Catherine Street.
  • Merchant Street at Dobbins Street.
  • Vine Street at East Monte Vista Avenue.
  • East Main Street at Dobbins Street.
  • East Main Street at Davis Street.
  • East Main Street at Wilson Street.
  • East Main Street at Elizabeth Street.

The driveways from the Lucky parking lot to East Monte Vista Avenue will be closed.
