VACAVILLE — Once again it’s time to meet and greet the sweet alpacas at Ahh . . . Sweet Alpacas in Vacaville.
Bruce Nelson and his family open up their ranch on National Alpaca Farm Days – this year it is Sept 28-29 – to introduce the community to the close relatives of the llama.
Nelson will have about 10 alpacas, including three crias, which are alpaca babies, in an area for visitors. Many others are on the property and can be viewed but won’t be in the mingling area.
Alpaca fiber products, including fleece and yarn, will be available. Spinning demonstrations will be ongoing throughout both days.
National Alpaca Farm Days began in 2007 with a variety of alpaca operations opening doors to visitors.
