VACAVILLE — Northern California Sled Dog Rescue’s Third Annual So Mush Fun takes place Saturday at Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. Dog sleds race in pods of two or three start at 7:30 a.m. The Man versus Beast competition starts at 8:30 a.m. A human 5-kilometer run and a two-mile walk start at 9 a.m. An introduction to carting demonstration takes place at 10 a.m.
The event ends at 11:30 a.m. and will take place rain or shine.
So Mush Fun is a fundraiser for NorSled Rescue, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for unwanted, abused and abandoned sled-type dogs to include Siberian huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds and northern-breed mixes.
