Overturned big rig closes northbound I-505 exit

VACAVILLE — An overturned big rig on westbound Interstate 80 near the northbound Interstate 505  exit closed the exit for two hours Tuesday.

A regional traffic alert was issued at 9:27 a.m. The exit was opened at 11:34 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Motorists were rerouted to Leisure Town Road, where they could connect with Vaca Valley Parkway as an alternate route.

The crash happened about 8:45 a.m. The big rig was estimated to be carrying about 40,000 pounds.
