VACAVILLE — Native and drought-resistant plants will be for sale Oct. 26 at the Solano Resource Conservation District’s annual fall plant sale.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the district’s conservation education center, 6390 Lewis Road near Vacaville. Visitors can talk to experts about ways to conserve resources and improve habitat. They can see a demonstration garden.
A workshop on how to replace a lawn with drought-tolerant plants will be put on at 10 a.m. by district and Solano County Water Agency officials. A water agency cost-share program can pay a portion of the costs for such a project.
