National Night Out returns to Vacaville

By From page A3 | June 27, 2014

VACAVILLE — Turn on the porch light, step outside and say “hi” to the neighbors – that is what Vacaville’s leaders of the 31st Annual National Night Out would like to encourage all neighborhoods to do.

The national event will happen from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 5. The police and fire departments, city staff and council members will visit neighborhood parties in the evening.

Local businesses are also encouraged to come out and participate with barbecues, ice cream socials and pizza parties. Businesses interested in participating can apply online at www.ci.vacaville.ca.us under police department/forms and fliers.

For more information, call Crime Prevention Coordinator Gretchen Ash at 449-5432.

Suisun City and Fairfield will also each host events to commemorate the night.

This is NATION WIDE !! HELLO, not just Vacaville, so next time build a story that shows all the local cities in Solano County will be hosting this Susan Hiland and not your own town. Remember that next time you want to try and make Vacaville look like its the only one.

I was not able to get a hold of the other cities who are participating in this event, yet. It looks like next week might have more information for a longer story. Unfortunately not much one can do when people are on vacation.
