By From page A3 | December 29, 2012

VACAVILLE — A missing Vacaville woman was found dead Friday morning on Leisure Town Road.

Cathleen Boland, 56, was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 20. She told her family she was considering suicide, according to police.

The Vacaville Police Department issued a press release Thursday asking the public for help in finding Boland.

On Friday morning, a Vacaville resident saw a white Dodge Neon matching the description of Boland’s, parked off Leisure Town Road. The resident returned home to read about the vehicle, then returned to the scene to match the license plate on the Dodge Neon, according to police.

The license plate matched and the citizen called police. Officers found Boland in her vehicle, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Anyone with information on where Boland was between the time she left and when she was found, should call Vacaville Police at 449-5200 or contact Detective Mark Ferreira at 449-5258.
