Law enforcement training set in Vacaville

By
From page A8 | June 25, 2014 |

VACAVILLE — Officers from the Vacaville Police Department and other local and federal agencies will participate in a training exercise between 3 and 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The two training exercises will occur at New Hope Fellowship Church, 4910 Allison Parkway, and the Solano Irrigation District offices, 810 Vaca Valley Parkway.

The exercises will include SWAT teams and officers dressed in SWAT attire and police gear, plus armored vehicles and weapons. Police helicopters and aircraft might also be involved.

The training areas will be clearly marked, according to a police press release. The public is asked to avoid the two involved areas, if possible, during the training times.

For more information, call Detective Chris Lechuga at 449-5269.
