VACAVILLE — A vehicle rollover Thursday on westbound Interstate 80 at the Peña Adobe exit sent three people to the hospital and blocked the center lanes, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
A sedan hit the center divider about 4:30 p.m. and rolled onto its roof into the center lanes. Two occupants, one adult and one baby, were able to get out of the car safely, but a third occupant was trapped and needed extraction.
All three occupants were taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with mild to moderate injuries.
A regional traffic alert was issued at 4:58 p.m. because the accident was blocking the middle lanes. The alert was lifted about 5:28 p.m.
