Fire at Lagoon Valley Park burns 9 acres

VACAVILLE — A 3-alarm fire at Lagoon Valley Park that burned 9 acres was quickly contained Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were dispatched to the fire inside the park about 2:41 p.m. They called for a third alarm predicting it might jump a road and grow much larger.

Fire crews from Vacaville, Dixon, Fairfield and Cordelia helped contain the fire, which was under control about 3:15 p.m.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
