Downtown Vacaville sets Chili Challenge

VACAVILLE — The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District will host its sixth annual Chili Challenge on Saturday.

This year the contest also includes pork ribs.

Contestants will begin preparing their recipes early that morning. Judging is set to take place throughout the afternoon.

The official judges will taste early in the afternoon and the People’s Choice judging will start around 1 p.m. and go until the chili runs out. The day will also feature entertainment by the several bands, starting at 10 a.m. The rib and chili winners will be announced around 4:30 p.m.
