VACAVILLE — Cheating Daylight has racked up more honors from the Los Angeles Music Awards.

The five-piece group, which includes three brothers from Vacaville, was named Thursday as the 2012 Rock Artist of the Year. Last year, they were the Power Pop Band of the Year.

More than 11,000 artist submissions were received for this year’s competition.

The Los Angeles Music Awards were founded in 1991 to showcase emerging independent artists. It is an event-based marketing, publicity and promotion company, according to its website.

The Northern California band is currently touring in support of its new album, “All We Know.” Band members are Jesse Crosson, Kyle Crosson and Jaden Crosson, all of Vacaville. Joining them are brothers Jacob Gill and Connor Gill, of Cobb.
