VACAVILLE — The city teamed up with Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for the county prescription drug take-back day and pulled in 700 pounds of solid-dose and liquid drugs, according to a city-issued press release.

The seventh annual event took place April 26 and was sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Vacaville residents had two drop-off locations and volunteers collected more medications than in the previous year. A total of 487 households responded.

The next take-back event will occur in the fall. An exact date has not yet been established.
