VACAVILLE — Casa Dei Venti, a proposed 37-lot residential development on about 10 acres along Vanden Road, goes before the Vacaville City Council at its meeting Tuesday after winning unanimous approval by the city Planning Commission.
The project by Vanden II Properties of Novato would rezone the site from agriculture to residential low density with a 6,000-square-foot minimum lot size, according to a city staff report. The zoning change would permit subdivision of the property into 37 lots. Proposed changes are consistent with surrounding uses, the city staff said in a report to the council.
Planning commissioners at their July 15 meeting voted to recommend the council approve the project.
A public hearing on the proposal for the vacant property will take place Tuesday.
No house plans are proposed. Future plans will comply with residential design requirements for new single-family development, a staff report said.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m in the chamber at 650 Merchant St.
