SUISUN CITY — The Salvation Army will host Worship at the Waterfront, a special service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Suisun City waterfront.
The event is conjunction with National Back to Church Sunday.
“So often we hear from people when they are invited to church, that walking through the doors of a church is just too hard,” said Capt. Jonathan Harvey of the Kroc Center, in a press release. ”Some people think their life is so un-Christlike that the walls will cave in if they go to church.”
The service will feature live music by the Worship at the Kroc Gospel Choir and house band, as well as an inspirational message. A special Zumba session will bring a different type of worship element to the service.
Capts. Jonathan and Vickie Harvey are the senior pastors of The Salvation Army, which worships at the Kroc Center every Sunday.
The couple planted The Salvation Army’s ministry in Suisun City less than two years ago, about eight months before the Kroc Center opened, moving into the Kroc Centers auditorium in July 2012.
