Suisun DUI checkpoint Saturday
SUISUN CITY — Police will conduct a drunken driving and drivers license checkpoint 6 p.m. Saturday at undisclosed location within city limits, said traffic officer Michael Urlaub in a press release.
The checkpoint will end at midnight Sunday.
“If we suspect anyone is driving while under the influence, officers will show zero tolerance for drunk or drugged driving,” Urlaub said.
The Suisun City Police offer the following tips for safe and happy holidays:
- If drinking, designate a sober driver.
- If drinking, don’t drive. Call a sober friend, family member, taxi or use free transportation offered on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve.
- If someone has been drinking, don’t let them drive.
- Contact law enforcement to report an impaired driver on the road.
