SUISUN CITY — A small fire Friday in a downtown business caused the Fire Department to shut down part of Main Street.

An exhaust system caught fire just before 6 p.m. in a coffee shop on the 700 block of Main Street, said Suisun City fire Capt. Greg Renucci.

“They put it out themselves, but we were on scene investigating and checking (to see if the fire had spread) for a while,” Renucci said.

The Fire Department shut down a block of Main Street for about 45 minutes to conduct an investigated. Renucci said crews cleared the scene by 7 p.m.
