SUISUN CITY — The Suisun City Fire Department confirmed Sunday that an early morning fire left one person dead.

The overnight fire occurred at 517 Wigeon Way. One person was rescued from the house and taken to the hospital, where he later died, the Fire Department reported. Other members in the household, including children, made it out of the house safely.

Neighbors on Sunday said they did not know the people who lived in the home. One neighbor said two or three couples lived there. The fire looked to be centered around the garage. The doors were gone Sunday and the electrical box had been removed and placed next to the garage.

Police said the Fire Department was handling the incident. The Fire Department reported that no other information would be made available Sunday, and that Fire Chief Mike O’Brien was away until Tuesday.
