Chapkis Dance schedules hip-hop auditions

SUISUN CITY — The Chapkis Dance Studio is putting out the call to dancers to audition for the teams it will send in August to the 2014 Hip Hop International competition in Las Vegas.

This will be the fourth year the dance studio plans to send four teams to the competition. The studio’s team Prophecy finished 18th last year in the international competition against teams from all over the world.

Auditions will take place over three days: 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Special guest choreographer Tony Tzar will be at the Sunday and Monday sessions.

The top dancers will be picked for the Mega Crew, which needs 40 dancers, the Varsity team, which needs eight dancers, the Junior Crew, which needs eight dancers, and the Adult Team, which needs eight dancers.
