SUISUN CITY — An accident on westbound Highway 12 Sunday downed a light pole and left a damaged sedan resting on the embankment just past the Main Street onramp.

A beige Toyota Solara with a damaged passenger side and broken window had to be towed off the grassy embankment about 3:05 p.m. Another sedan that may have had minor damage from the accident was towed from scene just before 3 p.m.

Skid marks from the left lane crossed two lanes and the shoulder, which was littered with broken glass. A light pole with highway signage was knocked down.

It was unclear if there were injuries. The Suisun Police Department did not return calls by press time.
