FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Collaboration for HIV/AIDS Awareness, Vallejo Together and the Vallejo School District will sponsor a free event in March for elementary, middle school, high school students and parents.

The conference will aim to deliver positive messages and encourage children and teens to make positive life choices about health issues such as AIDS. Other topics include building positive relationships, violence prevention, healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.

Some of the planned activities include a resource pavilion with interactive vendors, informative workshops, Zumba, archery, poetry, art, horseback riding, entertainment and prizes. There will also be elementary school age and parent sessions, and age-appropriate activities. A healthy lunch will be served.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 at Jesse Bethel High School, 1800 Ascot Parkway, Vallejo.
