Youth Ag Day returns to fairgrounds

By From page A5 | February 07, 2014

FAIRFIELD — More than 3,000 third-graders are expected to gather for the 12th annual Youth Ag Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 18 at the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo.

The event is a collaborative effort of the Solano County Fair Association, the Solano County Department of Agriculture, Solano County 4-H, Solano County FFA and other supporters.

Children will come from throughout the county with teachers and chaperones for the event, which is free. It will give them an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a range of agricultural activities and exhibits.

Youth Ag Day organizers continue to seek sponsors to help offset the cost. For more information or to register, visit www.scfair.com, send an email [email protected] or call 551-2002.
