FAIRFIELD — Those with ongoing health issues are invited to attend a series of six workshops at the community center in Benicia, beginning Oct. 30 and ending Dec. 4.
The workshops are for anyone with chronic issues such as arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or lung disease; or for those who want to become more physically and socially active.
Family members or friends of those with chronic health conditions are also invited to attend.
The workshops will teach such things as managing your health; ways to control pain, stress and anxiety; how to talk to doctors, family and friends; goal setting and problem solving; and healthy eating, along with ways to keep moving.
They will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on six consecutive Wednesdays. The community center is located at 370 E. L St. The workshops are sponsored by Solano Public Health and CA4Health.
