FAIRFIELD — Legislation that allows Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers to buy up to 100 percent renewable electricity from solar and other energy projects is before Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature.
The state Senate voted Wednesday to send the measure by Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis, and coauthor Assemblyman Das Williams, D-Santa Barbara, to Brown for his signature.
A representative for Wolk said Brown has 30 days to sign the legislation known as Senate Bill 43. He had not done so Friday, the representative said.
