Weekend includes eighth annual Kids Day of Fishing

The week aheadFAIRFIELD — The eighth annual Kids Day of Fishing at Lake Solano Park is Saturday.

The event is open to 100 children. Priority is given to special needs children and underprivileged children ages 3 to 13. Supplies are included. Ponds are stocked with catfish and bass. A barbecue lunch is provided and derby shirts will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Any open spots after 9 a.m. are on a first-come, first-served basis.
