FAIRFIELD — Residents should receive their sample ballot books and vote-by-mail ballots for the June 3 election by early next week.

Those signed up to vote by mail will receive a mail packet that contains all of the information from the traditional sample ballot book, a county press release said. Anyone who has not received either a vote-by-mail packet or a sample ballot book by May 9 should contact the Registrar of Voters at 784-6675.

Residents will also receive the state Voter Information Guide with information on statewide propositions from the Secretary of State’s Office.

The last day to register for this election is May 19. The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed out is May 27, the press release said.

Some people received their sample ballots in Friday’s mail.
