FAIRFIELD — The first Children and Families Policy Forum will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 15 at the Solano County Events Center in Fairfield.

The free forum is designed as a way to speak out for children and families, educate elected officials and be the voice of change, according to a press release. Keynote speakers include children’s advocate Margaret Bodkin and Ted Lampkin, president of Children Now, a national research and advocacy organization based in Oakland.

Federal and state legislatures and local elected officials and business leaders have been invited as guest speakers.

The event includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch. The events center is located at 601 Texas St.
