Taxpayers group installs new officers

FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Taxpayers Association recently installed new officers for the upcoming year.

They are: Stephen Power, president, Vacaville; Ourania Riddle, first vice president, Dixon; Gary Rannefeld, second vice president, Dixon; Laura Peters, secretary, Vacaville; and Gary Riddle, treasurer, Dixon.

Formed in 1960, the nonpartisan, nonprofit association advocates for responsible government and efficient use of taxpayer resources. The group meets the second Wednesday of the month.

    Too old, too white, too conservative-We dont fit in with Obama's nightmarish ''new Amerika''. We should be in Boise, Biloxi or Charleston, not communist California.
