Sutter nurses stage one-day walkout in Vallejo

By From page A4 | December 25, 2012

VALLEJO — Hundreds of nurses staged a one-day walkout Monday at nine Bay Area hospitals, including Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo.

The one-day strike by the California Nurses Association was a response to disputes with Sutter Health and Hospital Care of America Healthcare over issues such as staffing levels, health benefits and sick pay. Seven of the hospitals targeted are affiliated with Sutter Health.

Many of the Sutter nurses will return to work on Christmas day.
