Supervisor, DA candidates to face off in forums

FAIRFIELD — Upcoming candidate forums will focus on the 3rd District Solano County Board of Supervisors race and the county District Attorney’s race that are on the June 3 ballot.

The 3rd District covers much of Fairfield and Suisun City. Incumbent Supervisor Jim Spering is being challenged by Fairfield City Councilwoman Pam Bertani, Michael Oman and Steven Lowe. The forum will be at 6:30 p.m. April 16 at the Fairfield City Council chamber, 1000 Webster St. The public is invited.

Sponsors are the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce and Solano County Farm Bureau. Candidates will be asked about eight questions and will not know the questions ahead of time, chamber Chief Executive Officer Debi Tavey said.

District Attorney Don du Bain is being challenged by county Deputy District Attorney  Krishna Abrams. That forum will be at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at the Fairfield City Council chamber. Sponsors are the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce, Vacaville Chamber of Commerce and Solano County Farm Bureau.
