Suisun workshop hopes to chart city’s future

By From page A3 | March 01, 2014

The week aheadSUISUN CITY — City Council members and city officials want to hear from the town’s residents at the Chart Our Future community workshop at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center at 611 Village Drive.

City officials will be on hand to present information about Suisun City’s financial condition, what challenges the city faces and what some of its goals are for the community. Each city department, from police to public works, will give a presentation about how cuts in recent years affected it. Community members will then be allowed to present thoughts and ideas for what should be done.

Once city staff collects and collates the feedback residents give at the meeting, it will go before the City Council as it goes through the city’s budget process later this spring.

For more information about the city’s finances and the community workshop, go to www.suisun.com.
