Solano libraries offer educational programs for teens
FAIRFIELD — Motivational speaker Wil Cason will share key skills for success in school during a special presentation next week in Fairfield.
The presentation is titled “Motivate! Inspire! Succeed!” It’s geared toward teens.
Cason will address students from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield Cordelia Library, 5050 Business Center Drive.
Education-related programs for teens continue Sept. 19 with a workshop titled “Paying for College 101.” It’s geared to teens of all ages and their parents and takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Fairfield Cordelia Library.
Other education-related library offerings include:
- A free PSAT practice test session from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fairfield Civic Center Library, 1150 Kentucky St. A PSAT results seminar and follow-up session is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 16.
- A program titled “Thinking About College” begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Suisun City Library, 601 Pintail Drive.
- A free practice SAT test will be administered from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Vacaville Public Library-Town Square, 1 Town Square Place. A test follow-up session starts at 6 p.m. Sept. 24.
