Solano College students plan marrow drive

FAIRFIELD — Two student groups are teaming up hold a bone marrow drive next month for a Solano Community College student.

The drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 3 and 4 in the Student Center of the Fairfield campus in honor of Kevin Lu. The event is organized by the Associated Students of Solano Community College and the Asian American Donor Program.

Lu has acute myeloid leukemia. He is currently going through chemotherapy and awaiting a donor match. Potential donors must submit to an oral swab and fill out a form.
