FAIRFIELD — The Advisory Council of the Area Agency on Aging Serving Napa and Solano is scheduled to elect two representatives to the California Senior Legislature in May.

The senior legislature is made up of 40 senior senators and 80 senior assembly members who meet annually in legislative session in Sacramento, responding to the needs of older Californians.

The Advisory Council is soliciting interested candidates who must be older than 60 on Election Day, a registered voter and reside in either Napa or Solano County. Members are elected for a four-year term.

Candidates who qualify may request a nomination petition package by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 644-6612. These documents must be completed and submitted with a biographical statement to the Area Agency on Aging office no later than March 31.
