SUISUN CITY — Friday is the last day for Fairfield and Suisun City area families to register for holiday assistance through the Salvation Army’s family assistance office on 1200 Missouri St.
The Salvation Army has already signed up more than 150 families with lines that stretched around the block when the sign-up period started Monday, according to Salvation Army Capt. Jonathan Harvey. Fairfield and Suisun City area families have until 5 p.m. Friday to register.
A similar sign-up period for Vallejo-area residents starts Monday and continues through Oct. 25 at the Salvation Army’s Vallejo office at 630 Tuolumne St. Those sign-ups will take place between 1 and 5 p.m.
For Vacaville-area residents can sign up from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 at the Salvation Army’s office at 630 Orange Drive.
Harvey also said the Salvation Army will need an army of volunteers and supporters to make sure hundreds of Solano County families are taken care of this holiday season. The Salvation Army needs financial support, toys for children, food and volunteers.
