SUISUN CITY — Rush Ranch in Suisun Marsh will host several events Jan. 18 as part of the Get the Rush series that occurs the third Saturday of each month.
Visitors to the Solano Land Trust open space property can take a guided hike from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. They will learn how plants and animals are affected by winter tides and temperatures and watch for raptors and other wintering birds. Another event will feature the Rush Ranch blacksmith shop. Participants might get a chance to make an iron nail or other keepsake, a Solano Land Trust press release said. The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Finally, visitors can see Little Bear and his table of Native American tools and decorations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
