FAIRFIELD — Motorists on some county rural roads in the Montezuma Hills area and near Winters can expect delays in coming weeks.
Delays are possible on Collinsville Road from Stratton Lane to a mile north of Talbert Lane from Wednesday through Sept. 6 and Sept. 9 to Sept. 10. Road work will be done from 7 a.m. to 3;30 p.m. and perhaps later. There will be a single lane open with traffic alternating direction and possible 20-minute delays at times as workers do road repairs, a county press release said.
Road work is also being done on Birds Landing Road from two miles north of Montezuma Hills Road to two miles south of Highway 12. Delays are possible Tuesday through Sept. 6, and Sept. 9 to Sept. 10. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and perhaps later. Again, a single lane will be open with traffic direction alternating.
Finally, minor delays are possible on Putah Creek Road over the creek near Winters through 2015 as workers replace the Winters Road Bridge. Work is to be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Workers will install a temporary bridge to keep traffic moving.
