Rockville Trail hike offered

The week aheadFAIRFIELD — A free, guided hike of Rockville Trails Preserve will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Docent Jim Hanser will lead a hike through the hills that will pass through a variety of oaks and feature views of Green Valley and Suisun Valley below. The pace will be moderate over 4 to 5 miles. Participants should bring water and plenty of snacks, an event press release said.

Advance registration is required and can be done by going to www.conta.cc/1wgijOM or calling Hanser at 372-6090. Hikers will meet at the red “Ice House” building on Suisun Valley Court near the intersection of Rockville and Suisun Valley roads and then carpool or caravan to the trailhead.

Rockville Trails Preserve is owned by the Solano Land Trust. It is open only to docent-led hikes.
