Registrar closer to final Solano vote count

FAIRFIELD — Votes continue to be counted in Solano County and are on track to be finalized by Dec. 4.

The latest update shows that 500 vote-by-mail ballots and 11,000 provisional ballots need to counted and verified. The next update is scheduled at 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Solano County Registrar of Voters.

In the lone close race, Monica Brown leads Frances McCullough by 96 votes for the Solano Community College District Area 5 trustee seat.

A total of 142,936 votes have been counted, good for a 68.2 percent turnout.
