FAIRFIELD — Rebuilding Together Solano County will host what it calls its first Super Parking Lot Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building, 420 Admiral Callaghan Lane in Vallejo.
A variety of items will be for sale, such as classic auto parts, tools, furniture, home improvement items, books, fabric and much more. More garage sale items are needed, as well as volunteers.
Upcoming workdays are also scheduled that allow the public to dig in and help neighbors.
From Aug. 22-25, Rebuilding Together and its local partners will be back at Erika Wagoner’s Fairfield home in the vicinity of Hayes and Kentucky streets. Wagoner, 83, is a military widow whose home is receiving a makeover, including some much-needed electrical and roof work.
Later in the month, Aug. 27-30, another rehabilitation project will be continued in the vicinity of Helen and Vervais avenues in Vallejo.
Work day sponsors in Fairfield include Bank of the West, Fairfield Host Lions and The Home Depot, and in Vallejo, Umpqua Bank, Vallejo Rotary, Recology Vallejo and First Bank. Major donors include Costco, Medic Ambulance, M and M Sanitation, Michael Gregory, Panama Red Coffee and Walgreens.
